Engineering Geology Ltd (EGL) is a well established specialist consultancy providing geotechnical, earthquake and civil engineering services for a wide range of projects. EGL was founded in 1986 and became an incorporated company in 1988. It has provided services on over 6,000 different jobs in the last 25 years. The practice is a Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand (Inc.) (ACENZ).

Engineering Geology Ltd has a dedicated team of 13 staff. The three directors of the firm are Dr Trevor Matuschka, Jeremy Yeats and Rambod Amigh. They are all Chartered Professional Engineers and together have approximately 90 years of professional experience in geotechnical and civil engineering and engineering geology. Dr Matuschka is a specialist in seismic analyses, geotechnical engineering and design of dams. Mr Yeats has specialised in geotechnical engineering and his experience covers a broad range of work. Mr Rambod Amigh is a specialist in site investigation, design and construction of water storeage and tailings storage facilities and ash ponds. The firm also employs an enthusiastic team of experienced geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists, field geologists and clerical staff.
